NYC doe teachers that gave birth recently
Help!!
Clearly there are only 2 weeks left of school,(yay!!) but I missed the maternity workshop. Last time I was pregnant, nothing was done online.
I am scheduled for a c-section in July, and have no idea what I need to do paperwork wise.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hi. A colleague of mine emailed them and got an appointed time pretty quickly. Another friend of mine has an appointment on either Wednesday, June 24 or Thursday, June 25th at the Queens office in Rego Park. I don't remember the exact day, but I know it is within the last week of school.If you call and explain your situation, maybe they will squeeze you in for an appointment or help you through email or phone. I only know about the Queens borough office. Good luck.

This I'm aware of, but is it easy or did the doe complicate things further.
I don't even remember what I submitted for my daughter 2 years ago.
Any advice appreciated

I gave birth in December. I didn't go to the workshop. You have to do everything in SOLAS now. Google it and it will come up. There is a time limit of when you need to submit supporting documents. You also have to add your child to your GHI benefits through HR connect and call the union to get your baby on your union benefits. Its a lot of work! DO it sooner than later. I had issues with the website not working and having to call HR connect several times which had me on hold for a long time. Good luck!
