i am not hosting my sister is...but she is having chips/dips...baked ziti...grilled veggies...chicken...sausage...and salad w/walnuts craisins gorgenzola...fruit...dessert

Baked Ziti!! Great idea!! I'm going to add that to my menu, thanks!
Anyone else have any suggestions? Looking for affordable items.

Always a fan of sausage and peppers -- easy to make on your own -- feeds a lot of people -- cheap ingredients -- can offer hero rolls for people to make sandwiches with it -- if you have leftovers, re-heats well!

Luckily we have a lot of people bringing dishes: coleslaw, bean salad, roasted veggies, chicken parm, penne ala vodka, salad, macaroni salad, spinach dip.
I'm sure I'm missing some things.

London broil, grilled chicken, corn on the cob, ribs, bruschetta, fruit tart, smores, there are a lot of fourth of july dessert recipes out there

4th of July Menu
I think we're doing BBQ baby back ribs, marinated flank steak with chimichurri, grilled corn with chipotle lime butter, broccoli cole slaw with craisins and almonds, balsamic marinated grilled vegetables, Greek pasta salad, Cajun potato salad.
For dessert, chocolate chip icebox cake, Oreo trifle, fruit and pecan pie.
