Forgetting vitamins
I am in my third trimester and forget to take my vitamins like twice a week... I feel so guilty. Anyone else have this problem. I hope there won't be long term affects.

Forgetting vitamins
Some people don't take vitamins at all... I think prenatal vitamins are more for the mother, as the growing baby will take whatever it needs from the mothers body. Prenatals replace those vitamins.

This. You're not depriving your baby, only yourself ;) Everyone will be fine :) So many things to worry about when you're growing a human, right??

Forgetting vitamins
I purposely didn't take mine last night because I had a stomachache. You'll be ok!

Forgetting vitamins
Yeah I haven't taken mine in forever. I'm 35 weeks.
I rarely took them with DD past the 1st trimester. She's absolutely perfect!

Re: Forgetting vitamins
It is really important in the pre & 1st trimester.
When I forget to take them now, I notice side effects of pregnancy (leg cramps, twitchy eyes, etc) that come from vitamin & mineral imbalances.

Re: Forgetting vitamins
I always forgot with dd. What I did for this pregnancy was, in addition to the one a day, I kep a bottle of the gummies by my night table, I love the taste and no water is needed to swallow, so if I realize I forgot, I just take those. There's 0 motivation required.

Forgetting vitamins
I rarely take mine. I am terrible with pills to being with. And at 13w I am still nauseous often so that vitamin isn't working. Are their gummies?

Re: Forgetting vitamins
The baby is taking what it needs from you....so the vits are reallly more for YOU to replenish . Someone above mentioned feeling side effect when not taking them of vitamin deficiency- that is because the baby is draining your supply of vits and you need to replenish for yourself.
Folic acid is important early on though

Re: Forgetting vitamins
I never took them when I was pregnant with my ds. I think my whole pregnancy I might have taken them a total of 10 times (bad I know). Ds is perfectly healthy!!!!
I think they are more for the mother. The baby will get what it needs from you. No worries!!

Re: Forgetting vitamins
Don't worry there's lots of vitamins in ice cream and chocolate pudding. Lots and lots of calcium....
