Bleeding in early pregnancy
Hi, we saw my baby's heartbeat today, but I had a red gush of blood last night, and brown spotting on and off since. Doctor thinks all is OK and said some women bleed in early pregnancy. I felt so much better after the heartbeat, but then spotted after going to the bathroom and the fear came back. Can you please share your early bleeding success story with me? I have had 2 miscarriages with the most recent in May, and it has been hard for me to celebrate this baby as it is, and now this.
Just to add, on Sunday and yesterday late afternoon, I had pink discharge one time, only when I wiped both days.
Last week we thought there may have been 2 sacs based on the US, so I am wondering if the mysterious second sac is causing this since it is no longer there. The doctor can't say because he wasn't certain it was another sac last week, he said it could be.
I know I should trust my doctor and relax but it's so hard and scary.
Thank you!

Re: Bleeding in early pregnancy
Congrats!
I had spotting early on (5 weeks to be exact). I woke up one morning and noticed a gush. I freaked out since it was bright red. The previous night I had switched from PIO to Crinone so my RE thought possible irritation to my cervix(what he DX over the phone). I was scheduled for a Sono later that morning anyway to confirm uterine gestational sac and when I went in they saw I had a hematoma(blood clot) that most likely caused the bleed.
Scary I know but all is well since my 2 week DS is sleeping in his bassinet next to me.

Re: Bleeding in early pregnancy
I had spotting (and red bleeding) with both of my pregnancies early on. It's very scary, but hang in there! I now have a 2.5 year old DS and a 2.5 month old DD. If you heard the heartbeat, then just feel confident that everything is going well!

Re: Bleeding in early pregnancy
I've had several bleeding episodes with both of my healthy pregnancies. With DS2, I had random bleeding in all three trimesters which was very scary but ultimately everything was fine. Ironically, the only pregnancy I did not have bleeding wound up being a miscarriage. I know all too well how scary it is but the fact that you saw a heartbeat is great! If it continues definitely call the dr again but I am sure everything is fine!

Re: Bleeding in early pregnancy
I had the same first time around, first spotting then full bleeding. Everything was fine. This time I'm starting to spot again, and I'll probably need to call the doc on Monday. As long as your doc says it's ok, don't worry. Just take it easy , stay off your feet when you can

Bleeding in early pregnancy
I bled my entire pregnancy. Mostly just spotting, but at 8 or 9 weeks I had a gush of bright red blood. It was not accompanied with cramps or anything and the bleeding didn't last long. I freaked out, but everything was fine. My dr was never able to give me a clear answer on what cause it.
