Fresh produce?
I try to buy all organic fruit and veggies, but it's getting harder and harder at the local supermarket. I would love to be able to get to Fairway often enough for us but I just don't see being able to drive over there twice a week. Any suggestions for fresh (organic) produce in the massapequa area? Thanks!

Re: Fresh produce?
Do you have a BJs near you? They carry organic berries, grapes, bananas and some veggies.

Fresh produce?
I live in Seaford and usually go to either the whole foods in Jericho or the trader joes in Merrick. Target has a bit of a selection too and some of the prices are actually pretty good

Fresh produce?
I find that stop and shop has a decent amount... Also, try Fresh Direct. Sometimes they run decent sales.

Re: Fresh produce?
Fairway or Fresh Direct (I use them in between Fairway trips for convenience and they have good sales on different things often)

Re: Fresh produce?
I live in Amityville so I can relate. We do Fairway once a month and stock up and stop and shop in between. I wish there were closer options though

Re: Fresh produce?
I order from Farmigo.....all local farms, some are organic, some arent. Selection changes every week and then there is a local pick up.
40% off you first order too but you have to get the code from your local group which usually has a FB page http://www.farmigo.com

Re: Fresh produce?
FYI Jess- The Waldbaums on Hicksville Rd is turning into a Stop & Shop. I know they usually are pretty good about stocking a decent selection of organic fruits and veggies.
