Question about Long Island children's museum
Is there a reduced admission if you just want to use the child play area rather than going around the whole museum?

Ita.
But the toddler area is pretty small and you get a thirty minute slot I think. Not really worth it to go for just that imo.

Agree. But I also think there's a lot more toddlers will enjoy. My son loves the sand area the most. There's also bubbles, too.

Question about Long Island children's museum
The library offers free passes but you have to sign up for a day way ahead of time in my library. How old is your DC? Many of the interactive exhibits are designed to address areas of learning at every stage of development. I used to take my girls and they were into the bubbles and blocks only. They're now into the whole communication area and spent about 2 hours in that section alone. Since they love bees, the honeyco.bs were the highlight of their visit this time.

Re: Question about Long Island children's museum
Thanks so much everyone....we decided against going today since we would've only had a very small window of time to spend there but at least I know about the free passes and the fact that it's one admission price whether you go all over the museum or not...thanks so much for this info!!

Re: Question about Long Island children's museum
We went on Saturday right when it opened and tried going into the tot spot (my son's fave) but it was booked with private parties for the first 1.5 hours of the day. He usually burns through the whole place in that time so we didn't get to go in there. If you go there specifically for that area I would call ahead to see if it's booked for parties when you'll be there.
