How do YOU apply under eye concealer?

So I have been watching some you tube videos on this and they are all conflicting. Some say just add it directly under the eye...some have you applying it in a big semi circle under the eye ..some have you drawing a v shape..from the inner corner of your eye down the side of your nose then up to the outer corner of your eye in a v shape and filling it in...SO confusing and frankly I do not have it down and now think I look worse than before I applied it.

So how do you apply your under eye concealer?

I tap it on with my ring finger.
So that's another way for you

I was always told to tap it so you're not pulling the skin.

It depends on what product you are using & what you are trying to achieve. When people use a lighter color & bring it down in triangles, they are doing that to highlight. It is a technique often used in drag makeup & by Kim Kardashian.


If you are using a lighter color like that, if you just put it under your eyes, it will look weird.
Like this:

If you are using a color corrector, you want to put it just over the area that is discolored.

Also- if you have under eye bags, and darkness just around the edges, cover the darkness only, not the lighter puffier part.

I use a small brush - on the brush it says it's a "blending brush"

Using the concealer in that V shape is just as much about highlighting as concealing.

I use my ring finger to tap on concealer just on my dark circles after foundation.

I also set it with powder.
