I don't think so. Unless we have a really warm day, then I wouldn't.

in light of the other responses I should clarify that I'm in MA where it's cooler. Didn't realize NY was so warm right now. 80 degrees, no I wouldn't wear them!

Re: Too early?

Yes- I was just outside and it's like 80 degrees. I was warm in a summer sundress and strappy sandals
You'd be dying .
Not to mention looking pretty silly

It's more flip flops and bathing suit weather

yes I saw a mom in knee high brown suede boots yesterday with a sweater dress and was dying looking at her. The afternoons are super warm and I get hot fast

Re: Too early?

Bear in mind you will have at least seven months to wear boots. You will be sick of them by March and still it will be cold enough to wear them.

Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan, Feb, March, even APRIL is boot weather here.

Just give it a few more weeks... no need to rush

Mid Oct is usually my earliest- but if it's chilly by Oct 1st that would be my VERY VERY soonest

Re: Too early?

I saw people wearing boots all summer. Don't know how they did.

If you want to wear them. Wear them. Who gives a hoot!

Re: Too early?

I saw someone wearing booties last monday when it was 72 and cloudy and it looked fine. However, I push wearing socks and boots as much as I can. Today was open shoes weather for me. If it is on the 60s I wear ballet flats. Below that booties or boots.

Re: Too early?

Its too early for me. I'm holding onto flip flops as long as I can. It has to be 60 or lower for me to put on boats.

I say yes. Our winters are so long here that by March, you'll be tired of wearing them. Delay it a bit because you know you'll be so tired of them in 6 months!

This was why I was asking. I am seeing them everywhere.

Today it was 80+. This weather is so weird.

Re: Too early?

2 days after this thread was started. If I was going out tonight I wouldn't see anything wrong with wearing them. Next weekend is October and it will be cooler too.
