Kitchen Appliance Recommendations

I am in the process of buying a new home and will need to purchase all new kitchen appliances.

We are looking for quality and price is a factor because the more affordable appliances, the nicer hardwood floors I get. They dont have to match in brand but I would prefer all stainless.

Any recommendations or warnings against certain brands and/or places to purchase them?

When we redid our kitchen we did all Bosch and bought from ajmadison.com I priced it all out and they came in the best.

ETA: I am very happy with all of the appliances and also with AJmadison

I have all ge profile, and really love everything. I have heard lg dishwashers leak and break, and certain whirlpool fridges will leak from the water/ice on the fridge door.

Oh and be careful mixing and matching, apparently all companies have different colors of "stainless" steel, so they won't match. I was going to mix and match too until the sales person told me that, and I'm OCD so I knew it would drive me crazy lol.

I mixed and matched because I did a lot of research and certain brands were better depending on appliance. I didn't care so much about the matchy matchy as I did performance. We went through Appliance World for everything, they price match.

I have now had the following refrigerators:
Ge
Frigidare
LG
Thermidor

I have had side by side, freezer on top, and French door with freezer on bottom.

My preference is French door top with the bottom a two drawer freezer with adjustable shelves. I like the LG. This is not what I currently have, but it was my favorite.

We have had ge and jenair dishwashers. I am replacing the jenair with a Bosch. Note Bosch does not have a heated dry element.

We have had ge and Viking ovens. I prefer the Viking. It absolutely cooks better.

We have had ge and Viking microwave ovens. My cheep 50 microwave is still the best one.
