bottle before bed ?
my son is 15 months old. he gets a morning bottle and a bedtime bottle. At bedtime we have lights very dim and he drinks his bottle while I sit in the glider with him. He usually falls asleep within 10 minutes of finishing the bottle. My question is should I give him the bottle at an earlier time? play, read books, then dim the lights and rock in the chair? I don't think he needs it to fall asleep. ( we have been to parties late and he drinks his milk and sometimes plays some more before we actually leave and he falls asleep in the car) sorry this is so long and confusing.

bottle before bed ?
By a year we started doing bottle, then brush teeth, then books and then bed. I didn't want her to fall asleep right after the bottle without brushing her teeth

Re: bottle before bed ?
My DD is 16M and does this also and I don't think she needs it, it's just a habit as of now. She seems to be getting more and more attached to it at certain times. I was going to try to slowly reduce and reduce it until we get rid of it totally.

bottle before bed ?
We don't give it right before bed so we can brush her teeth. It's usually bottle, teeth, pjs (unless she had a bath after dinner), books, bed.

bottle before bed ?
DS is 17 months and I still nurse him before bed. At this point, he nurses for like 1 minute on both sides and then we brush his teeth and he goes to bed. I'm 100% sure that he does not need to nurse and figure at some point he'll refuse. DH has put him to bed when I wasn't home and he didn't nurse or have milk and he went to sleep without issue (allegedly ;))

Re: bottle before bed ?
This was basically what we did with DS at that age, too. The bottle before bed was the only way he'd drink milk, so I let him have it until just before he was 2. It was easy at that point to transition him to milk in a sippy earlier in the night. I had tried a few times before, but he just wasn't ready, and I was more concerned with him getting the milk so I let it be.
As long as there are no other issues, then I'd just leave it. DS didn't need the bottle to fall asleep so I knew it wasn't an issue for us.
