Hyper stimulate

Hi ladies. I'm just had my 4 th IUI. I was on 300 mg of follistim. I had 11 follicles but only a couple of them were big enough yesterday when I had the IUI. I took the ovidrel shot at 1:00 pm on Monday and then had the IUI at 9:00 AM yesterday. I starting surging on my own Monday so had to quickly do the ovidrel, was hoping for a few more days for my small follicles to grow but that didn't happen. This morning I'm in a decent amount of pain. Very very uncomfortable right now, mostly on the right side where I had 8 follicles. Has anyone experienced this?

11 follicles for IUI is A LOT!! Not to mention that the ovidrel usually helps the follicles mature. It's very possible you are hyper stimulated. Drink lots of gatorade. I would also call your RE and let them know. Feel better

Thanks. It feels a little better as the day is going by. I usually feel regular ovulation with just one follicle so I'm hoping it's all of he follicles letting go. Unfortunately with 11 my two biggest were 18 and 16.5. The others were 14.5 and smaller so they weren't really viable options. Been drinking a lot and hopefully this feeling will be gone by tomorrow.

If you are hyper stimulating be very careful. No sudden movements, lifting, exercise, or doing anything strenuous. And, as PP already said, gatoraid.

Thanks. Definitely think I was having symptoms of overstimulation not just from ovulation because I'm still feeling twinges a week later if I have a full bladder. Thanks for the advice ladies!
