Any Calorie Counters
How strict are you with calorie counting? For instance, let's say you have a 1200 diet. And you eat 1200 calories in mostly fruits and vegetables. 1200 calories in fruits and vegetables IS different than 1200 calories in butter and oil or 1200 calories in chocolate and pasta. So do you allow yourself a little extra calories on days when most of your nutrition comes from vegetables or do you still stick to your exact calorie amount?

Re: Any Calorie Counters
Yes. And I have been very successful. I do a low refined carb, high protein and high fiber diet and I have found I can successfully maintain 1500-1600. I think Protein and fiber, and getting rid of refined carbs, absolutely gives you more wiggle room in the calorie department. Fiber fills you up and passes through the body without being absorbed, and protein contributes to lean muscle mass - the more you have of that (lean muscle mass), the more calories you burn at rest.
