A little gross...poop

Has anyone else's child ever touch their poop?
My daughter is 5 1/2 and she has done this a few times now where she has said she was going to the bathroom and next thing we check on her and she is in the sink washing it off her hands. It is so disgusting. get so angry at her. And she knows it is wrong. When I ask her why she did it she says I don't know. At 1st I was wondering if she does it because she is constipated all the time. She gets Miralax sometimes because she has a tough time pushing it out and only goes little balls. She did it a few months back 2 times. Then we stopped letting her go to the bathroom by herself. Now fast forward to 4 months later she has done it twice this week. My husband walked in and she was sitting on the toilet and she hold up her hand and she had a poopy ball in her hand like she caught it while she pushed it out. Then this morning 5:00am I hear the water running in the bathroom and she was washing poop from her hands. She did it again. Why would she be doing this? Should I get her poop tested? Has anyone gone through this before??

My son did this at 3 after he was potty trained, but it was so much worse. It was such a bad phase. He literally smeared it all over. I walked into the living room and it looked like he had been rolling around in mud. Most disgusting thing I've ever seen. We had our pediatrician talk to him about it and told him he would get really sick and need a shot if he did again. He never did it again thank goodness.
