Please recco your non Apple tablet for kids
I want to get my kids (2 and 5) each a tablet for Christmas. The Ipad and Ipad mini are too pricey for the punishments these things will receive  Walmart has some great reviews for a RCA brand but I'm not sure.

I've been looking for the same thing. I did see Samsung has a tablet for $179.99 at Target, but haven't really researched it.

We have a Samsung Galaxy tablet and it's been great for DD to use.
We put a cover on it and so far it's held up well.
Let me see if I can find it
It's this one. The smaller screen size is all we really needed. $179

We have a google nexus tablet and a Samsung. I do not like the Samsung there is no space on the tablet our gb is to small.

my dds have a nabi, I didn't like it at first but it is growing on me as I get used to how to use it
also we buy them at best buy and get the protection plan, right before the plan is up we say it is no longer working, and they took it back and we were able to get newer updated ones, they don't service them just replace them
we had the first generation and now it is newer the first generation was actually more expensive and so we ended up with a credit we used towards the protection plans on the new ones

I don't know how much they cost, but DS and I both have Nooks (the one put out by Barnes & Noble).

My sister got DD and DS the tablet from Walmart for Christmas last year. They are a disaster. Between the volume not working or the tablet not charging, the RCA tablets we got from Walmart were very poor quality. We are actually considering getting them the Amazon Fire tablet.
