Has anyone had an endoscopy?
Next week I have to get an endoscopy done to see if I have a stomach ulcer.
I'm wondering how I'll feel the rest of the day. DH is taking off to take me and the kids will be with the sitter, will I feel well enough to go to the movies? Christmas shopping? Out to dinner?
The paperwork says I might be sleepy from the anesthesia they give you (which is why I need him to drive me home) and my throat may be a little sore, but none of that sounds like it should stop me from enjoying my day off with DH?

Has anyone had an endoscopy?
I was pretty much ok afterwards. I was a bit groggy at first but then fine. And starving! LOL We went to the diner after and I was fine.

I felt fine after. My throat was a little tender but not for long. It definitely shouldnt stop you from doing anything.

Nothing like a "free" day off... (only when you have a 5 and 2 year old does a morning at the GI dr and an afternoon at Target sound like a fun day!)

I had it in my doctors office about 4 months ago.
I felt 100% fine after. They put me under and then I woke up.
EXCELLENT and easy experience.

You may be a little tired after. I felt like I could drive home, but didn't. You'll be fine and able to do whatever you'd like.

Nope! You'll enjoy your day after the anesthesia wears off. I've scheduled them in the morning before and was always fine to go to work afterwards.

It was a while ago, but I remember it being very simple. I thought I would be out of it the entire day, afterwards, but it was a quick recovery.

I felt great after lol I felt like I had slept for hours. We hit Panera on the way home as my last hurrah since I had to go gluten free. My throat was a little scratchy but nothing terrible.

yes, had a two'fer a month ago. Endoscopy and Colonoscopy....lol no issues.
No worries you'll be fine.

I had slight stomach pain after but nothing that deterred me from regular activity

I felt fine afterwards. I was a bit groggy immediately waking up, but after 10 minutes I was ready to leave.
