Celebrating bday in school
My dd is in Kindergarten. Her bday falls on a weekend this year and she would like to celebrate in school.
We are not allowed to bring food in so I'll have to make goodie bags.
What do you usually put in them?
Obviously I'm a first timer.

My DS usually gets pencils, fun erasers, temporary tattoos, and other silly trinkets.

Celebrating bday in school
Oh wow - we aren't allowed to send anything in. They are usually the star of the week the week of their b-day (or sometime during their birth month if there are multiple people in that month) and they get called down to the office over the loud speaker to get a pencil.

Re: Celebrating bday in school
In our district you can't bring anything in because it would lead to competition between families one upping another. You are encouraged to bring in a book to donate it to the class and be the guest reader.

Re: Celebrating bday in school
Some ideas that we have gotten/given: tattoos, pencils, erasers, $1 coloring book, chalk, bubbles. You can do crayons, small craft, markers, hair clip for the girls, toy car for the boys
To be honest, I hate all the junky type goodie bag stuff-gets thrown out!! I'd rather something like my above list!!! :)
