New to this Journey
Hi Everyone,
Found out back in August during my laparoscopic surgery that both my tubes are blocked and I need IVF. Needless to say we were both upset since I'm only 34. My husband is really supportive but doesn't fully understand how upset I am. I am in need of some friends who have been through this journey or are going through it too to talk to. Can anybody help me?
I wish everyone the best of luck in this journey :)

I am so sorry that you got such tough news. This board is great though. Men and women... We process so differently. Hope you and DH have a journey filled with love and support no matter how you process this news differently.

Re: New to this Journey
welcome. You've come to the right place. There are many people on this board who have been through (or are going through) the IVF process. I have a 2 year old DD. She was an IVF baby. We are currently going through IVF to conceive our 2nd. Feel free to send me FM if you need to talk. Everyone on this board is super helpful and supportive.

New to this Journey
Welcome. I learned so much from this board. It was truly a lifesaver. The girls on here are a wealth of knowledge. Men just don't get it. They try but its impossible to understand have devastating all of this is to us woman. As long as he is supportive thats great. I've been through several IVFs so if you have any questions please ask. Best of luck.

Re: New to this Journey
Welcome! I too found out I had both tubes blocked due to my endo. I conceived twin girls with my second IVF cycle in 2012 and now I'm back trying for one more. There is so much info on here and everyone is always so willing to share their journey.

Welcome! Everyone is different but speaking just for myself, I was upset by the idea of IVF. In actuality for me, it was much easier than what I imagined in my head. The more I educated myself and the more I advocate for myself the easier it get- again just speaking for my personal experience. Good luck!!

Thank you all for your support I truly appreciate it. I'm nervous about starting the process. It's so much to absorb.

Re: New to this Journey
It's easy for me to say because I'm at the other end of my journey, but all I can say is that I can assure you....once you have your baby in your arms, you won't care how the baby was conceived, came into the world or really anything else.
Hang in there and rely on others (like the women on this board) for support. Many REs also have therapists on their staff for this very reason. It never hurts to talk to someone.

I have to agree with this. At first, I couldn't believe that IVF was our recommended option but I've become so grateful for it and we're not even done with our first try yet. It's not as bad as it sounds and there's so much information on this site alone to help inform you. Everyone on this board is super supportive as well. Best of luck!!
