LIRR to JFK?
Has anyone taken the LIRR to JFK? I'm flying out on Tuesday and was wondering how much a pain in the neck taking the train is. I know I'd take the train to Jamaica and then the airport tram to JFK. Is it hard to find at Jamaica though? And how much does it cost? Is it really only $5 (plus the train fare)?
Any other tips are appreciated.

Super easy! And I have done it with my son. Five dollars for air tran. It is very quick, air tran comes frequently.

It is the best thing ever invented and I highly recommend it to everyone who flies out of jfk.
I am really really bad with finding my way around and even I thought it was the easiest thing I ever did.
Yes $5 metro card to get into the airtrain terminal .
There are signs all over the Jamaica station directing you up.the escalator to the air train.

Yes! I take LIRR to the Air Train from the city all the time, super easy.
