Good Sam
Has anyone delivered there? I'm two weeks away from DD and that's the hospital I'll be delivering in. Also, if you had your baby there, would you recommend a private suite?

Good Sam
I delivered there in October and I had a good experience. We opted for the private suite and I would absolutely recommend it.

Re: Good Sam
No experience wtih Good Sam, but I say if you can get a private suite, get it. I did at Southside. Best money ever spent.
The last thing I wanted was to have to socialize with someone after giving birth AND deal with their visitors.
I sent DD to the nursery at night so I could sleep, I didn't want a roomate with a baby rooming in.
I didn't want to share a bathroom with the aftermath of birth. There were points there was blood on the floor- um, no thanks. My own blood is more than enough!

Good Sam
I delivered at Good Sam 4 years ago. There were only 1 or 2 private rooms. It was not horrible sharing. They push rooming in with the baby so the baby will be with you as much as possible. I didn't sleep much at the hospital because I wasn't comfy in the bed and I was taking care of DS.
The bathroom was only gross once and the nurses called housekeeping to clean it. I also always took a shower right after they cleaned it each morning.
IMO the money to get a private room is not worth it for the few days you are there.
