Bar/Restaurant for 40th Wedding Anniversary Party
Hi,
Wondering if anyone had any suggestions?
Not looking for a "venue" type of party. I am looking for a bar/restaurant with private area or private room. My parents are very lively and fun so we want something laid back/casual and more mingle and dance than a sit down affair.
I like Nappertandys in Smithtown, but the the small room is too small and the large room seems like it will be too big. I will have about 60 guests. Minimum for the Nappers room is 75.
Preferably Suffolk or eastern Nassau.

We had my parents 40th at Irish Coffee Pub. It was great

Insignia in smithtown is nice!!! I went to an engagement party at honu in Huntington that was also awesome!!
Irish coffee pub as NervousNell said is great! I went to a small wedding there and it was a blast

It is great and has a few different rooms depending on the size of your group. Shandon Court is also great (and I prefer their food) and has a private room or will let you use the main dining room for certain size parties.
I would also check the Oar in Patchogue. Good for your size party, they have a whole separate building that they use for private events.

Thank you all for the suggestions!
I have been to Irish Coffee Pub, in various rooms. I like it there - but its not exactly the feel I am going for.
I had my baby shower at Shandon Court. I also like it, but has a similar feel to Irish Coffee Pub.
I will def check out Oar.

I personally don't love the private room at the Oar...I have been to several parties at Perabell, but it has to be brunch for it to be private, I believe. Gallo Tropical and Brickhouse in Patchogue both have private party rooms. Painters in Brookhaven has a separate room.

We went to an engagement party at Fado in Huntington and it was fabulous, great food and really good service. We had the entire upstairs, not sure about the dancing though, I'd call and ask.

The nutty Irishman in farmingdale lets you rent out their back room. They have all of he set up for a do and even a stage if you wanted to hire entertainment.
