my journey is over
well, retrieval was 8 eggs, which was the same as last time, and only 5 were viable.
4 fertilized abnormally. the one that did fertilize didnt make it to transfer. the lab called me this morning.
so i have nothing left.
I have no idea how this turned out worse than the last cycle, considering everything was controlled better.
I couldnt imagine it being worse, but here I am. withing nothing to show for it.

So sorry! I know how you feel and it sucks. I did 2 IVF cycles and got nothing!
I also had 8 eggs I think both times. 16 follicles, 8 eggs, 5 mature, 3 fertilized with ICSI, 1 decent on day 3 and 0 on day 5.

thanks. at least im not alone.
the nurse wanted me to make an appt for my review consult. im like..uhh no. review what?? that my eggs are shit.
the dr. told me that the first cycle he thought I just got a bad crop and that he wouldnt make me do it again if he felt we wouldnt have better results on a different protocol. Somehow it was worse. my follicle counts were better this time, my estrogen levels were more controlled. in the end its all a crap shoot.

I am so sorry! There are no words that can even begin to make things better for you. The only thing I have to offer is that infertility is a b!tch. There is no rhyme or reason to it. Sending big hugs your way.
