Going on the potty at home, but not at school-please help!
I could use some advice please. My 2 1/2 yr old DD is newly potty trained. We started this past weekend. She is doing well at home, but not at school. The first couple of days at school, the teachers would bring her on the potty nothing would come out. She didn't have accidents, just held it for the 2 1/2 hours she is there. Today, they told me she refused to go and had an accident. I don't want to make it a pressure situation for her, but want her to understand she needs to go (or at least try) at school. And, I also don't want it to carry over to home where she is successful
Any tips? we tried bringing her favorite potty seat to put on the potty. Not sure if we need to wait it out?
TIA!

My son did this , I gave the teacher Hershey kisses and gummy bears to reward him with and he moved past it within a few days

Thanks. I packed M & m's for her teacher to give her- problem is she either won't sit on the potty, or if she does- she doesn't go, so they can't give her the reward

Does she tell you has to go at home? Maybe you can take her to the potty at school at pick up for a few days just to get used to it. If she is only there for 2 1/2 hrs she is probably too busy to stop and go potty.

How did she do with her favorite potty seat at school? What about if you take her at school, when you first drop her off? She may be more comfortable going her first time there with you?
Does she see other kids go? That's really how my son trained. He saw all of his friends going at school and he wanted to try, too.

I had to do a similar thing with my DS. For about a week when I went to pick him up, I took him to the potty there to get him used to it. Now he goes without a problem.
