My annual oil post!
What prices are you getting lately?
I prefer a contract v. COD.
Thanks!

My annual oil post!
Contract only. I would never be without a contract. Yes, you might save money. HOWEVER I am able to cover my oil burner and heat. So If I have an emergency they are there. Reliable. The same person answers the phone all the time. The same tech comes to house every year for its annual cleaning.
I think my last was $2.29? If oil COD is less than my contract I pay the lesser of the 2 prices.

What is the benefit of having the contract? I get COD oil and we once had an issue the guy was there to fix it within 4 hrs. Is it something in the price fore repairs that's better if you have a contract?

We always do a contract only. We have an older burner. We had an issue with no heat/hot water on New Years Eve. New Years Day at 7 am I called, they were at our house at 8 am on New Years Day, fixed the problem and it cost us nothing except the cost of the annual contract.
