ICSI
Hi again!
If your DH has a good semen analysis was ICSI done? I am hoping not because my Insurance does not cover that only if it was abnormal.Trying to see what the chances are.
Thank you!

Re: ICSI
We did ICSI more for my age, I was 40 (no issues with sperm) and we had great success with it. 8 fertilized, froze 6, used 2 and they both took. Miscarried one, gave birth to

Re: ICSI
We do not have MFI. Our first cycle we did not do ICSI. We had 17 mature follicles and only 4 fertilized. Second cycle we did ICSI based on my low fertilization report the first time around. I had 18 eggs fertilize.

Re: ICSI
the first time no, but 2nd time yes b/c i had poor fertilization the first time. not b/c of DH but because of my eggs.
as you get older the outside of the egg hardens and makes it harder to fertilize. so depending on your age ICSI might be recommended regardless of male factor.
if you are doing PGS testing, they automatically do ICSI.

ICSI
We always did ICSI even though DHs sperm analysis was fine. I felt like it could only help us so I was willing to pay the extra money.

ICSI
My DH's sperm was good and they did ICSI. We are with Cornell and had to fill out a form regarding ICSI. The options were either: use ICSI no matter what, do not use ICSI at all, or let the embryologist decide. We decided to let the embryologist decide. I never found out why they did it but the nurse did say that they will do ICSI 80+% of the time. ICSI costed an extra $2600.
