Has this ever happened to anyone?
So last month I had my 5th and final iui, had hcg test and was negative got my period last Friday, then this week I was on ganirelex, went in today for blood and sono to start stimulation for ivf and my hcg was 12...weird right? Can ganirelex cause this? I know for certain I'm not pregnant. The nurse said they're having me come back in tomorrow for blood work. Any idea what could have caused this.

So today I went for repeat bloodwork hcg went from 12 to 11.9. So clearly going down. Yesterday the nurse thought it might be a lab error but today I think everyone is confused. Could be possible chemical? But why didn't the hcg test positive when I was due for AF or when I did it 3 days before water sono? Could I have caused a miscarriage from water sono? I'm so confused and so frustrated because I thought I was finally starting ivf but clearly can't now til my hcg is 0.

Uhhh that is strange. Sounds like a chemical. My chemicals were at a level 5 and 9 I think. Sorry this is delaying your start. Sucks.

Can't be caused by the ganirelix. Sounds like a chemical unfortunately

Yea I finally spoke with the dr who said it was most likely chemical. The hcg now came down to 1 so I at least don't have to wait for the next cycle to start. The next cycle for li ivf didn't start til April 3rd so I would have been kind of bummed to wait. Now praying I get pregnant with ivf!
