All Natural Cakes
I'm planning my son's Smash Cake session for next week and wanted to know if anyone knows of any All Natural bakeries in the Port Jeff, Selden, Stony Brook area?
My gf made her own cake and her babies pooped the color of the icing afterward so I'm trying to avoid that haha

Even natural food coloring will change the color of their poop.

Natural food coloring will also change the color. I'm not sure why poop color is a problem. It doesn't mean the baby got sick from it.
If your concerned about nutritional value, Whole foods has a good variety of cakes made with whole wheat flour & more natural ingredients.

Thank you! He usually eats organic so I was looking for something more natural but doesn't have to necessarily be.

Rachel's cakes. She's on Facebook and in smithtown. She does organic dye free cakes for my daughter. The dye she uses isn't as vibrant and artificial dye. But it's vegetable based and not chemicals. Her cakes are amazing btw. Please look at her page.

Re: All Natural Cakes
For DD, I made her a healthy banana cake (no sugar) Then I just bought regular for all the guests. Just an idea I'm throwing out there

I've had 4 different cakes made at whole foods. The first 2 were both great and really pretty. The second 2 looked awful. Both times they blamed the unpredictability of the natural colors. But, I would think they'd remix to make it pretty and at least close to the color I requested. I just wouldn't recommend them if it's important for the cake to look a certain way.
