Help with Foundation!
I have been using the same Clinique foundation of many years, but lately I find that it is really settling into the lines in my forehead and between the eyes! It will look fine when first applied, but a few hours later when I look in the mirror it seems my lines are so much more pronounced because the makeup has settled in there. Any suggestions for a new foundation that will be better for me? Thank you ladies!

Re: Help with Foundation!
I have found that it's not even about the foundation so much (well a little) but more about prep.
You have to use a good primer first. What's good for you though may not be good for me and vice versa. So much trial and error. I tried Smashbox pore minimizing primer and it wasn't for me. I then tried Ulta Professionals- I use hydro prime in the winter with some of their flawless prime over it- huge difference.
Also, I like the Loreal Lumi liquid foundation and the IT cosmetics CC cream- it does NOT settle inot my pores and lines like the others do
Finally, to set- Smashbox primer water is AMAZING as a setting spray- spritz it over make up and it lasts all day, doesn't crack or settle. Holy Grail

Re: Help with Foundation!
I agree it my not be the foundation it may be the skin prep and application.
I would try to find a good primer. Not everyone loves the same primer. I really love the Garnier 5 Second Blur. I also always use a damp beauty blender I use the real technique one.
My two favorite foundations are Estee Lauder Double Wear. It doesn't budge, doesn't wear off ever. Its pricey though. I recently tried Rimmel Lasting Finish I think its fantastic. I had never tried anything from Rimmel but this foundation is great.
I use concelar under my eyes. I feel like you really have to set it with powder other wise it will sink into any fine lines. I use Bare Minerals finishing powder and I barely ever see creasing.

Help with Foundation!
Skincare, prep and formula.
I always start with a clean face, moisturizer, primer, serum foundation and a light dusting of setting powder. It's a lot of trial and error finding the right combination, but it's fun to try different products. My skin is pretty normal with an oily T-zone and doesn't break out easily, so I don't worry too much about different products irritating me.
I have stopped using concealer and just started using foundation and I honestly think it de-emphasizes the circles and puffiness better.
