March 2016 - It's our Month!!!

Been having irregular moderate contractions for 9.5 hours now... trying to wait until they are more regular because I don't want to be tethered to the hospital bed with the IVs and stuff... wish me luck!

And my doctors are not on call... have to go with a stranger! Ugh.

16 hours of contractions and they just stopped. My sciatica is horrific and I can no longer walk or stand. Stupid contractions!! I'm so mad.

You sure you're not experiencing back labor? That's what mine felt like.

Hmm. I never considered back labor. it's 2:30 am and my last contraction was in the 10pm range. It's my left butt cheek that's super painful and is like lightning bolts of pain when I walk. Or move in bed.

The pain sounds like sciatica. We're the contractions in the front too before or only back? Do you know the babies position?

I think I just had my first few contractions. 39w3d
I woke up to a super hard stomach which is usual with a full bladder. I peed but it keeps happening every few minutes. They don't last long and aren't painful more uncomfortable. Baby is moving a lot too which is confusing me as to if they're contractions or not. It just feels different.

They were all front. Like menstrual cramps location wise but more painful and lasted a minute long. For a while they were 3 min apart but not for an hour. Last sono at 34 weeks he was head down. At 36 weeks I was 2 cm 80% effaced and dr said he could feel his head during the internal. This past Friday was the NP but she couldn't really tell.

If the baby is posteria, head down but facing forward you could experience back labor.
I labored this morning for over an hour. Similar feelings as you had. Got up and moved around. Ate something and drank water. Seems to have lessened.

This is very frustrating, isn't it? I don't feel any contractions now. Did yours stop too? I've been reading about prodromal labor and it sounds like that but that means it could be days like this.

March 2016 - It's our Month!!!

I had my son about 2 weeks ago and my contractions began three days before giving birth. Woke me up Saturday morning....went away midday....returned that evening. Was able to sleep...Sunday were random....went to work Monday and that night started getting the real intense rhythmic ones. Baby boy was here by 1:41 am on Tuesday.

So to answer your question....yup, it could be a while. Hang in there mama!

I was afraid it could still be a while, especially since now that I'm up and moving they seem to come less often and Intensity has not increased at all.

Congrats on your baby boy!!!

Wow! Congrats on the baby! Were you able to give birth vaginally after that or was it a c section? I have been reading and a lot of people say it's because the baby isn't positioned well.

Will be 39 weeks Thursday. had an apt today. Not dilated, and cervix still high, but I am 50% effaced.

My daughter was 10 days late. My son will probably be late too LOL

Vaginal delivery. Went to the hospital at 11 pm....baby was here at 1:41 am! Went quick...I was 6 cm by the time I got there...almost too late for the epidural!

As far as I know, he was in good position. Head down, 3 cm dilated at 38 wk check, and very low. Guess he just wanted to get out!

March 2016 - It's our Month!!!

Went to dr today. I am 3-4 cm dilated. (Originally he said 3 and I guess I looked sad and he said well, 3-4. He offered to induce tomorrow as I will be 39w exactly. Said I would be an easy induction. I don't know... I kind of want to wait until little man is ready on his own- thinking it will go more smoothly if my body goes in to labor on its own? But he said if we induce I'm practically guaranteed an epidural. If I wait I could miss the window.

40w3d now. A whole week since I originally posted I was having contractions.
I'll most likely be induced Friday unless something happens naturally. So my March baby could now be an April baby. I'm starting to really become restless. My anxiety levels come and go. This waiting is making me even more anxious. Anyone else over cooked???

I had my March baby at 41w2d and was losing my mind! I asked the doctor to do a membrane sweep at my 41 week appointment and went into labor the next day.

I decided to wait... And had those prodromal contractions easter night.... Got my mom to leave Easter dinner and by the time she got to my house the contractions had all but stopped. I was so mad!

4 hours later we were getting ready for bed and I went to pee and my water broke on the toilet! Same exact way and time as DD! 11 pm, on the toilet! This time there was quite a bit of blood so they said to come in right away.

Labored 11pm -7:30, epi didn't work great, pushed for 1 hour 15 min. With DD it was 23.5 hours and 1 hour 30 min pushing.

DS was born Monday morning!

Have any of you had a spinal headache before?

I am due tomorrow. Looks like I will be having an April baby too! I was 41+3 with DD though so I am used to these long pregnancies LOL.

I have been having contractions on and off, with Monday night being the worst so far. I thought I was going to go into Labor Monday night, then they stopped.
