Question about blowing out my daughter's hair

Disclaimer: I am severely hair challenged. With that being said I just had my daughter's hair cut into a long bob. When I tried to blow it out last night I couldn't get it to curl under like this pic. Am I doing something wrong? I used a round metal brush.

Re: Question about blowing out my daughter's hair

I was considering this hairstyle for myself but wondering how to style it to look like this.

Question about blowing out my daughter's hair

If that's your DD, she's absolutely beautiful!!
I don't know if I'm going to explain this right, but are you taking the hair in the brush at the root and sort of lifting it up as you blow dry?
You should try You Tube. I'm sure there are videos showing how to do it.

I had my DD's hair cut like that not long ago. She has really wavy, thick hair. I use a lot of product, then dry it with a big round brush and smoothing cream. It's a huge pain to do, and I don't dry it often because it's just as time consuming as drying my own hair. But it does look really cute when it's done.
