Granite countertops? how much
Those that upgraded or got granite countertops put in, how much was it?
Just looking for a price range.
Also, any recommendations on who you used?

We used Papasidero Tile in Mineola. They were great.
granite
Price is going to depend entirely on the granite you want and the square footage that you need. So for some people it's 3K, for others it's 10K+.

Agreed. Depends on what you want. Basic/common slabs are relatively cheap. We redid our kitchen recently. Could have ranged from 1600 for a basic slab, but what we chose was $3500. Plus the edging you chose will affect the price. Typically the Ogee or beveled edges are more expensive.

There's a large range in prices depending on the slab. I think ours was around 4K with a standard edge, not including installation and removal of the old granite.

A lot depends on the thickness, edges, color...my husband is a project manager and gets it for crazy cheap because of the amount he purchases (though he prefers to use quartz now) but he has no real choices among color, etc. If you aren't super picky about the color, you might be able to get a good deal.

Just curious but why does he prefer Quartz?

So how much was the installation and removal? If you don't mind me asking.

It doesn't require any upkeep...no sealing, doesn't stain. I know though that some people don't like that quartz lacks the inconsistencies that make it "interesting".

We have Quartz and I LOVE my counters. They now make quartz that looks like granite so there are a lot of colors/designs available, like the Cambria Waterford collection. We have the color Bellingham from that collection.
As others have mentioned, the cost of granite will vary greatly depending on the slab, thickness, and edging.

I think total was around 6k.
Insurance covered it so I didn't pay too much attention to the cost.
