Possible Preeclampsia?
I'm almost 37w and yesterday at my OB appt my blood pressure was high and I have a trace of protein in my urine. I'm doing the 24 hr urine collection today (fun! ) and the blood test tomorrow. The only other symptom I have is very swollen ankles/feet. They took my blood pressure a few times after having me lay down on my left side for awhile but it went up instead of down. It's been normal the entire pregnancy until just now.
Anyone else been through this? Did it turn out to be preeclampsia? I know technically if I have to deliver the baby next week, she will be full term. But it still makes me nervous. I just want her to be ok.

Re: Possible Preeclampsia?
Yes, this happened to me with my first DD. I ended up being induced at 38 weeks and we were both fine. I tried to deliver naturally, but after 26 hours, two cervadils, pitocin, and an epidural, she didn't want to come out so I ended up having a C-section.
My blood pressure went back down and we were released 4 days later.

Re: Possible Preeclampsia?
Yes, this happened to me with my DS. My blood pressure started to elevate in the 2nd trimester, but by the 3rd trimester it was very high basically all the time. I had the urine test done 3 times before they actually found protein in it. I was induced at 39 weeks after being monitored for 2 hours and my BP was just too high for them to feel comfortable with. My induction was a great experience and DS was delivered vaginally and was perfect. My BP went back down to normal basically right after I delivered him.

Re: Possible Preeclampsia?
My first DD was born at 34 weeks due to my preeclampsia, and I didn't have any signs except for swelling up until the night before. I had a failed induction and had an emergency csection. If your BP is already high and there's already protein in your urine, there's a good chance it is. Drink lots of water and keep your feet up as much as possible. Keep sodium intake low as well.
With my second, my water broke at 38 weeks, but I had another failed induction. However if she didn't come when she did, I was going to be induced again within a few days because my BP was becoming inconsistent and I was swelling bad again. She was born happy and healthy

Possible Preeclampsia?
I had to do urine collection for 5 weeks and in the end, when protein was in the urine and bp wouldn't lower, it was preeclampsia and they tried inducing and I ended up with an emergency c section-just relax and stay on top of it especially if you start seeing spots or get a headache. Good luck and feel well

Possible Preeclampsia?
This was me two weeks ago. I went in for my weekly appointment and my blood pressure was a little high which it never is. There was a small trace of protein in my urine and I was sent to labor and delivery. My blood pressure was better there so they sent me home with directions to see my doctor the next day.
Next day my blood pressure was slightly high again and this time there was a lot more protein in my urine so they sent me to be delivered. DD was born via csection at 37w4d and as soon as I delivered everything went back to normal. DD was perfectly healthy and I felt 100% better.
Eta: other than the blood pressure and protein I had no other symptoms. Honestly preeclampsia could escalate really fast so I'm glad DD was delivered ASAP after finding out
Good luck!!

Possible Preeclampsia?
My BP started elevating at 27 weeks and they put me on meds. it remained high but stable until last week. I never had enough protein in my urine to have pre-e but I was on pre -e watch - weekly appointments, weekly BPPs, everything.
Last monday my bp was like 170s/100s so I was sent to L&D and my daughter was delivered via c- section at 38w1d.
I'm still on the BP meds but today my BP was 130/80 at my first post op appointment so next week they'll decide if I can come off the meds :)

Re: Possible Preeclampsia?
the same thing happened to me when I was 35w. My doc told me to stop working as of that day. Everything was fine up until that point. I was sent for the 24 hr urine collection too. Small traces of protein were found. My blood pressure was on the rise but never spiked out of control. From 35w on, I had to see my OB 2x per week and go on the NST each time. Everything turned out fine. I ended being induced at 40w with a healthy baby.

Possible Preeclampsia?
I actually got post partum preclampsia 6 days after my daughter was born. I am still dealing with blood pressure issues and she's 3 weeks. It's not fun. I pray you don't have it.
