best game system for 7 year old
For DS's 7th birthday DH and I were thinking of getting a joint gift for him and our almost 5 year old DS.
WE have Wii.
What's good for that age they'll use for a while. Xbox?
I know nothing about this. Thanks!

I vote for the Wii U. My son loves that over any other game console. It's much different from the Wii.

Does he like sports? If so, I would get the Xbox one. I bought the Wii when DS was 7 and they don't have any of the games he and his friends play so then I had to buy the Xbox one a year later now he is 8. He plays FIFA 16 and Madden 16 and that's pretty much it..

Not really into Sports too much. Mostly he has mastered the Wii Fit games, racing games, and some other stuff we have on the Wii. I think he played Jurassic World or Minecraft at other friend's homes. I just don't know what systems they have.

My 6 yo is obsessed with the Mario 3D World game we got with Wii U last year. Bonus is that the Wii games play on Wii U, and I like the new game pad.

We had a wii and got the wiiU for them for Xmas this year. My little guy loves it, the mostly plays Mario games. My older DS likes it, but he would prefer a game system with more sports games. All the ones he has are a bit older. I don't know why they don't have more sports games for the wiiU

I say XBOX one since it is what I find most kids have. My son and his friends all play together on it. I would ask around see what his friends have a get that bc eventually they will want to be able to play with their friends.

Same... My 6 year old son loves the Mario games. I'm sure in a few years he will graduate to the Xbox or PlayStation.

We like the Wii U but they are stopping production on it this year, so unless he likes the games that are already out, I wouldn't purchase it.
