Friend has breast cancer
I just found out that a friend of mine has stage IV breast cancer (spread to her lymph nodes). She has a 1 year old daughter, but lives in Seattle so there's not much I can do to for her. Her friends set up a gofundme account to help with rent, etc, but does anyone have any ideas of something nice I can do for her from afar? I don't want to buy grocery gift cards, etc b/c I have no idea how her local friends are taking care of her - I'm looking for something that's more personal so she knows I'm thinking about her and her baby.

I think nothing beats an old fashion phone call. And keep up with the calls. Does not have to be everyday or week but a few times a month goes a long way. That will show her you are thinking of her. When people called me it meant the most

How about a nice gift basket chock full of goodies? I just sent 2 winecountrygiftbaskets to my cousins on the death of their father. That website has great stuff.

I was treated for breast cancer from 2013-2014, and I would've appreciated a really good blender for smoothies or a juicer. A lot of people that I know in treatment really try to eat healthy and juice a lot to heal their bodies.

Best answer.
Also, don't send anything with sugar as it is thought to feed inflammation which feeds cancer.

I ended up sending her a book, some essential oils (basic kit with frankincense that's supposed to be good for cancer), a scarf that I made, and a Monet coloring book. Unfortunately, the address I was given was wrong and it was returned to me yesterday so I'm going to resend it today.

My friend is in remission and threw a dance party in the lobby on her last day of chemo!!

:( Just found out that her brain has many tumors (caught it last week). She's doing hardcore radiation now and they said she has an 80% chance of beating it.
