Runners, please come in
What are some good half marathons coming up in the area (driving distance)?
I know the LI one just passed. The rock n roll half in philly would have been good, but we have a wedding that weekend.

Dh did that one a few years ago. The rock n roll series are great. The Miami one was the best.

Re: Runners, please come in
I ran the Brooklyn Rock N Roll Half last year, it was the inaugural race - and you could def tell it was their first year in Brooklyn - total sh*t show, but apparently they learned from it.
If you run the Rock N Roll in Brooklyn, just be aware that they are not allowed to play amplified music until after 9am. With a 7am start time (which was delayed 45min!!!) There were literally no bands playing, maybe some Caribbean type drummer, and an acoustic guitar, but nothing like you'd think. I was at mile 12 before I heard a real band. It sucked. Post Race was cool though.

They changed the course for this year, but only the last few miles were in Prospect Park - I would assume the end is the same because it needs to end where the concert is. The end was ROUGH, lol.
