Catering food for my DD first birthday..
We always order from an Italian place that I do love, but I think I want to do something different.
Any ideas?
Like where do you go for great American food platters, etc?

Not sure where you are located but For my ds's first birthday we did specialty heros from Tuscany Gourmet Market in Miller place. They were sooo good. We had 4 different kinds and all the men had to try all of them! It was a hit because everyone usually always have Italian.

Tuscany is amazing! I live close by and love their food - the marinated steal hero is to die for!

lol..when I read the first post, that is exactly what I envisioned...the teriyaki marinated steak hero...yum...it's a staple at parties at my house now.

Not sure where you live but Press 195 in RVC and Bayside do AMAZING pressed sandwich platters.
I had one last weekend for a girls day and everyone raved about the sandwiches.

My SIL did catering from Smokin Al's for my nephew's 1st birthday. I'm not a huge fan, but most people loved it.

I did Greek recently. Chicken souvlaki, pork souvlaki, gyro, all the fixings, rice, salad. It was a hit.
