Best and cheapest mobile phone plan???
My bill for Verizon is out of control for three cell phones...thinking of switching either to another plan or a pay as you go since I don't use the cell phone that much...anyone have any good plans that they are happy with that they are using? Can you keep your old cell number? Thanks!!!!

Bumping because I would like to know this too. Verizons rates are insane lately and my contract just ended. I was thinking of trying Sprint but I can't lose my phone number either.

The FCC says you can keep your phone number anywhere you go (in the vast majority of cases) https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/porting-keeping-your-phone-number-when-you-change-providers
I have T-mobile. I got it originally because it was the lowest entry-level plan around, and it had wi-fi calling years before anyone else even thought about it.
DW and DS have Tracfones. Pay as you go, since they use very few minutes. You can get all sorts of codes and deals to save even more money and/or get more minutes/data.

Best and cheapest mobile phone plan???
We used Metro PCS and we liked it for the coverage and that everything was unlimited. Not really a big deal but we couldn't use Iphones. Now we have Sprint, again with unlimited everything - coverage is better than fine, not great and we can use our Iphones. It is more expensive than Metro

Re: Best and cheapest mobile phone plan???
The best mobile plan is a free plan. :)
I've been using Ring Plus for a few months now and love that I'm paying almost zilch for it. The only thing I had to pay was $200 for my smartphone which I plan to use for a few years and a $25 incidental fee for overages which I haven't had to tap into.
I used to be on Virgin Mobile at the 35/mo plan and decided to switch after hearing from my brother and his side of the family. They were using it for several years and were happy with the plan.
The only catch is you do have to be abit technical to set it up yourself as customer service is slow. It's essentially like a low-frills, self-service plan. Also, instead of a ringtone you will hear a few seconds of ad before the receiver picks up. I can deal with that for free. :)
I'll bet happy to answer questions for those who are interested. And I don't get any kind of commission for signing people up, just want to help others who are fed up with high cost mobile plans.

DH and I both use Tracfone pay as you go. For $99 I got a new phone and 1350 minutes, texts and mb of data. I started the plan just after the beginning of the year. I have not gone over minutes or data. I always connect to WiFi. I did purchase additional text - it's $10 for 1000 texts. Everything is good for 1 year. So far I am at $109 for a year of service. I had verizon before and for me it is running on Verizon as well. It is an older smartphone, but I do not care. Service is good and I have no problems at all.

Best and cheapest mobile phone plan???
I have Straight Talk. My phone runs off Verizon towers. I pay $45 a month unlimited and they just charge my card each month. No issues, have had it for about 5 years

Best and cheapest mobile phone plan???
I have boost Mobile which I believe runs off sprint. No real complaints. $30/month unlimited all. The only thing is they don't give you any kind of deal on the phone so if you are someone who loves to have the latest iPhone its not the best way to go. If you dontind paying $100 for a phone that's a few years outdated its great ??

Re: Best and cheapest mobile phone plan???
I just switched to Consumer Cellular. Not sure how much the bill is because they had all these deals for new sign ups. I think it should be around $60 for 3 lines. No complaints about the customer service and i think the service has been good so far.
