Help me decide which beach and field to go to
I have from about 9-2:30 to myself Monday.
I am looking forward to going to the beach by myself!
Where should I go? I am in central Nassau about 20 minutes from Jones so that would be ideal but I would drive a little further for a short walk to the water and NO kids lol.
Concession would be nice but not necessary.
If Jones is best what field?
I don't have any passes or anything.
Tia!

Jones Field 6 is closest walk to beach I believe
You won't have to worry about many kids on Monday since they are all back to school,

Ah ok. Well if you are looking for no kids, maybe go down to Robert Moses then. School is in session on LI and Robert Moses is farther out on LI

This is why I'm off and my son's not! NYC teacher here and DS has school. When I mentioned kids, I was thinking either NYC kids or the younger set.
Thanks all. I might try Jones Field 6 and hope all the NYC kids are at Coney Island .

What about going a little further to Gilgo or Overlook? They probably aren't checking passes now, especially on a Monday, and they are beautiful, less crowded beaches.

Re: Help me decide which beach and field to go to
As of this week jones beach still had lifeguards on duty and was charging to get in. A short drive away tobay is open - no fee and it's a super close walk to the water. The only downside is that I was there yesterday and they experienced a lot of beach erosion from the storm so the beach was extremely narrow and some parts of the beach were closed since there was no sand.
