1st grade and tests
Please excuse this question but it's the first time I actually had to sign my DD's test. I am sure she's been tested in K and now in 1st grade but I never physically seen a test that she got graded on until now. She's in 1st grade. She got a 17 out of 20 - which isn't bad but my question is lets say she would have received a 10 out of 21 for example , how does that impact her report cards?
Thanks!!

1st grade and tests
Letter grades aren't used in NYS, only numbers...1, 2, 3, 4. If a child consistently scored around 50% on tests in class, I would imagine the teacher would give them a 1, or a 2 on their report card. I believe it is 1 not meeting standards, 2, partially meeting standards.
