North Shore LIJ classes?
Has anyone signed up for any of the classes offered? I just signed up for the preparation for child birth class, but was wondering if I should sign up for the baby care basics class, since I am pretty sure my husband has never changed a diaper! This is our first :)

The nurses in the hospital will teach you (and him) how to change a diaper. It's easy!

This. My kids were my the first diapers my husband ever changed in his life. He got real good, real quick. Nurses are great. They will teach you both.

I delivered at winthrop and took classes from them. Still, my DH said he couldn't change diapers. If you have time, I would take the classes, so you feel more prepared, but a lot of people don't. Baby care is probably more useful than the hospital birth class. The nurses at the hospital will tell you how to push and keep reminding you to breath during contractions, or hold your breath and push. If you are interested in natural birth, I would take different birth classes like a Bradley class or hypnobabies (I didn't take either, just heard of them).
