I know a lot of people who did them this year and they were extremely disappointed. The editing was horrible and just a bad experience altogether. The only good thing about what I have seen about them is at least the Santa is not scary because the Easter Bunny she uses is freaky looking

The Santa we had for our shoot was AMAZING!! He was everything I would picture Santa to look like, I couldn't have been happier with the choice. However, I saw a few other shoots from this year (friends/family) and I didn't care AT ALL for the Santa they got. We lucked out.

I have no clue who edited our pics but thankfully the kids don't look remotely cartoonish or edited. My kids look like my kids (as if I took the pic) with just a really cute Santa setup around them. I wouldn't do the pics again because it would be redundant however, I'm SO happy to finally have really nice, special pics of my kids with Santa while they still believe. Especially my DD because at 8 years old, this is the FIRST time EVER she's let me get pics of her with Santa so I could not be more thrilled!! Chat Icon

Santa Experience Pics creepy?

Seems like there is far too much uncertainty to warrant spending that much money for so few pictures -- you don't know which Santa you'll get, don't know which photographer, don't know who will be doing your editing and what "style" they tend to do, etc. I'll stick with my $23 Groupon to JC Penney and pictures that I've consistently liked.

Re: Santa Experience Pics creepy?

Personally I like the style of Stacey Sideris' Santa Shoots better. The editing is a lot more natural as well

After hearing all of these complaints I feel like I got lucky. For the money it cost, I am thankful for that.

Santa Experience Pics creepy?

I did it this year and some of my pics i love and werent overly edited but there are a few that were. I did it once and am over it. It was def not my favorite photos that i have had taken of my son. The place itself is adorable and i think they are very professional.

Re: Santa Experience Pics creepy?

YES! My friend did them last year and I loved the photos that I did them this year. This year, the editing was HORRIBLE. Totally overdone and not the soft nostalgic look that they did last year. I complained and forced them to reedit them three times before I was satisfied.

See, this is just like a really nice scene with Santa, and it's an awesome picture of your beautiful children, but I thought the idea was to make it look like an illustration out of book? Hence the Story Book experience....or is it the scenery that's storybook-esque?

Personally, I think your picture looks much better than the ones that are meant to look like a illustration. Yours is the third image I've seen from this place and they are all edited completely differently.

Adorable! This looks nothing like the others I have seen. Yours look like a nice, normal picture. The ones I saw last year looked Normal Rockwellish. The ones I have seen this year look cartoonish. You definitely lucked out with whomever edited your photos.

Thanks!!

I booked it this past January because I loved that whole Normal Rockwell look but then before my shoot I started seeing some people's from this year and I was getting slightly nervous. Many of them looked a little "off" and they were so orange!! It's too bad because it's a great idea but if there is no consistency in the pics and editing it ruins the whole thing.

Thank you so much!! xo

I will say, the whole experience was very cute and it was "storybook" like being there. Even without the editing to give it a certain look, being in the little Xmas world they created was very fun and my kids really enjoyed it. They were relaxed, they looked very natural, and in the end I feel like I got some nice shots.

I think the concept is great but I don't like the editing of the pictures. They just look so fake.

Agree. I love the idea of the whole experience to warm kids up to Santa. But they are too heavily edited. It's too much.

ETA: A LIW bride does photography, too, and she did a really cute Santa shoot this year. Still has that magical feel but without being over the top with editing. Marie Christine Photography is the photographer.
