So upset - UPDATED
I'm about 7 weeks. I stood up earlier and felt a small gush and I just knew it was blood. Sorry if TMI, but I had some bright red blood on my underwear and then in the toilet. No cramping right now, but my boobs, which have been so sore since about 6dpo, aren't as sore. I'm of course assuming the worst. This is right around the same time as I was going through my miscarriage/ectopic last year. Since I hadn't had any spotting and my betas a 4 weeks looked good, I was trying to stay hopeful. Now I'm a mess. My first appointment is supposed to be tomorrow afternoon. I'll call the office tomorrow morning just to let them know and see if they can put me in for a sono too. Any similar stories where things turned out ok? I can't believe I'm going through this again.
UPDATE: I had a sono and thankfully the baby is in my uterus. I'm measuring 6w6d, which is exactly on target from when I believe I ovulated. Unfortunately, there's a moderate amount of blood around the sac (subchorionic hematoma). The NP said it's a waiting game and could go either way. She said it was good that my bleeding subsided, but to expect more bleeding/spotting in the future. She advised taking it easy and to be on pelvic rest at least until I have a follow up sono in a week. I was shaking throughout my sono from the nerves. I've calmed down a bit, but am still a nervous wreck. Keeping my fingers crossed that things will work out this time. Thanks for all of the feedback.

So upset
This happened to me in early pregnancy with my son. I sneezed and felt blood come out and freaked out. I saw the dr the next day and his little heartbeat was still there. Happened a few more times on and off until right before I was 12 weeks where I bled so much that I thought it was over. Turned out it was a subcorionic hematoma that was bleeding out. It's scary as hell but I was fine after. My son is going to be one next month and is happy and healthy. Thinking good thoughts for you

Re: So upset
When I was 6 1/2 weeks with my DD, I felt a pop and a gush. Ran to the bathroom and saw a good amount of bright red blood. No cramping. They took me for an early sono and I cried when I saw her strong heartbeat. It never happened after that and DD is now 5 and perfect. They were never able to see where the blood came from. Hope you have a positive outcome too

Re: So upset
I had some bleeding at 7 weeks and 11 weeks. Went to get checked out each time, and baby was OK. I'm 18 weeks tomorrow. The doctor says bleeding can happen as the baby nestles into the lining and begins to grow. Definitely push for a sono tomorrow at your appointment. Good luck

So upset
Happened to me at 10 weeks. Felt a huge gush. Was bright red blood. No cramping. Baby was fine. I had a subchronic hematoma. Was told to take it easy. But it was possible to continue to bleed. Some people bleed long into the pregnancy. Hope all is ok

So upset
I'm pregnant with twins and had light bleeding around 7 weeks and then very heavy bleeding at 9 weeks and had to go to the ER. So incredibly scary, but a sono confirmed that everything was ok with them and that I had a subchorionic hematoma very close to my cervix, which caused the heavy bleeding. Since then, I haven't had any other issues with bleeding, sono shows the hematoma is gone, and I'm almost 27 weeks now. Prayers that everything is ok for you too!!

Same 35+ right now with twins and had an SCH at 11 weeks. Was in the ER as well. It's so scary, try and relax, keep your feet up and if you feel the need to know now you can always go to the ER, sucks waiting there but it may help ease your mind. If you feel you can wait, call the doctor first thing in the AM! Sending you positive vibes!!!!

Re: So upset
In my experience, it could be a MC or it could be nothing. I had bleeding in my past three pregnancies. Two ended in MC, and in the last, the bleeding stopped and I now have a 3 month old DD. No cramping is a positive sign. I know how stressful it is, especially the experience of having gone through it multiple times. Hoping all is ok at your sonogram.

Re: So upset
I agree that it could be a m/c but it could also be nothing. I had bright red bleeding in the early parts of both of my pregnancies and both turned out to be nothing. The fact that there's no cramping is a good sign. Usually a m/c is bleeding AND cramping.
Try to take it easy until you can get to your OB. If you say you are bleeding, they should be able to get you in right away, though it seems like you already had an appt for today. Ask them to check your progesterone levels, too.

Re: So upset
Thanks everyone. The bleeding stopped last night and was mostly when I went to the bathroom. Today, it was dark brown when I went to the bathroom a few times. I was trying to hold it together, but was a mess on the phone with the doctor's office this morning. I'm waiting for a call back to confirm whether I need to go for blood work before today's appointment. I was pushing for a sono when I was on the phone and because of my history, I think they'll do one today.

this exactly. I had an SCH from 7 until about 13 weeks. ended up in the ER too. Dr told me to go bc the sono tech wasn't in. I remember being petrified of seeing the baby on the screen and no heartbeat... im 33 weeks now and doing fine.
hopefully its nothing though and you can get in today and get a sono and ease your mind. keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Re: So upset
I woke up covered in blood during this pregnancy at around 7w5d. It was a subchorionic hematoma and my baby is fine. Sending you prayers everything is okay. I know how worrisome is can be after a previous miscarriage.

Re: So upset
I've had many many pregnancy losses and I can tell you that the times I had lots of bleeding and feared the worst were usually the times everything was fine.. and the times everything wasn't fine were the times I didn't have a legitimate reason to be worried. I'd say that was the case for most of my losses.
Whenever I've had active bleeding in pregnancy, the protocol was always bed rest and stay hydrated. That's the most you can do right now. Just remember that it is so very possible to have lots and lots of bleeding and baby is still in there kicking around unaware of anything wrong.
For some perspective, I recently had a loss at 9 weeks where I had no legitimate reason before my appointment to believe baby was in danger. Blood or no blood, you truthfully don't know what's going on in there without a sono.
Good luck!

So upset - UPDATED
Hang in there with my SCH I bled 2-3 weeks. I took 3 days off work after it happened kept my feet up and drank lots of water. I was on pelvic rest as well but DH and I didn't have sex for about 8 weeks after. I didn't lift anything at home or work for a month either but I was over paranoid. Take it easy and rest!!! Many positive vibes to you!
