Do you have the same political affiliation as your parents?
Yes and no. My mom and sis are dems and my father is a republican.
My father though did not vote republican this election. He said he probably would have if it was anyone else but he just could not vote for Trump. My dad has very personal business experience with the man so he has known for years what a crook he is. But my father has also said since this election he is having issues with the republican party.

We never discussed politics when I was growing up, so I never really knew where anyone stood (even though my dad was in the military). To this day, I have no idea where my brother and dad really stand (although I know my dad was seriously anti-Trump), but I, unfortunately, know too well where my mom stands. She divorced my dad and married a die-hard Fox News supporter, and she's rather gullible when it comes to stuff like this. So she's been Republican for a while (even though she's admitted some liberal thoughts to me before).
However, since the election cycle last year, she's gone *way* overboard with her support for Trump and all his lies on FB - to the point that I almost hid her posts b/c she believes 100% in all the fake news. It's really sad to see that she believes such awful stuff b/c she's usually a sympathetic person to others.

One parent is a republican, one is a democrat and I'm an independent so I guess I'm a hybrid of the two of them.

My ILs and DH are more left than me. DH and I tend to vote the same way. We have voted R, but usually vote D. My dad doesn't really care but usually votes D. My mom has some conservative views but hates Trump. She is a true swing voter.

Yes. My in-laws, BIL, brothers, mom, DH, and myself all share similar political views. My dad was somewhat more liberal when he was alive. The rest of us are not.
Extended family is a different story.
