Shower curtain liner
I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Every time I take a shower, the liner blows in towards me. There are 3 magnets on the bottom of the liner, which barely work...DH and I end up using our own, separate magnets to try to keep the bottom down, but even with that, the middle is "puffed in" towards me. This has been an ongoing battle for years, and I'm really sick of it...I've bought different liners (heavy duty, light, etc.), tried putting the liner on a separate rod so it could be placed differently than the outer curtain, all to no avail. I'm about ready to just put doors on the tub instead. Any ideas/suggestions of what my problem is that I can't figure out something that should be so simple???

Re: Shower curtain liner
I have doors now, but when I had a liner I found that the clear liners worked best (they seem to be more heavyweight than opaque ones) and I would make sure that the wall of the tub was a bit wet...the liner would stick to it instead of blowing inward.

I use the hotel line from Bed Bath and Beyond. It is a waterproof cloth shower liner. I also upgraded to a curved shower rod. It gives more room in the shower. I don't have a problem at all with the liner moving.

I use the fabric liner and don't have any problems. I like them much better than the vinyl ones.

There's a vortex in your bathtub! Like a shower tornado!
Ok, so maybe that's dramatic, but it's pretty close to what is happening. You can try either reducing the flow of water coming out of the shower head. Or one of those curved rods might help at least keep the liner away from you. Or... if you're more domestic than I am, you can try sewing a length of chain or something heavy-ish along the hem of the liner which should work a little better than the magnets (provided the chain or whatever is heavy enough to withstand your mini bathtub tornado)

I would think it's something about the air flow in the room/shower. Do you run a fan? I would try different things like skipping the fan and leaving the door a bit open. Maybe leave the curtain open a bit or move the rod up or down if it's a tension rod. Something to change the air flow so it's not getting pulled in.

This actually makes sense! This all started happening when I changed to that Korean mineral-bead shower head that improves water flow. I put a new liner in at the same time, and thought it was that! I'm gonna try the curved rod and the fabric liner. Also want to get a vent with a heat lamp!
Thanks all!!

I know exactly what you are talking about. I try to wet the tub first.
