Upper lip hair
So I think the time has come for me to do something about the little bit of upper lip hair I have. what method do you all use? Afraid to start waxing it because I don't want to deal with waiting for regrowth!

Re: Upper lip hair
I mostly get it waxed. It doesn't need real regrowth before going again. Like I never have a full stash between waxing. I also use sally Hanson hair remover for face sometimes too. Tho with my sensitive skin, if I leave it on a second too long, I get irritated. You have to make sure your face isn't clean before hand. Natural oils on the skin keeps it from burning.

Upper lip hair
I tried threading once. It hurt SO much. I have thought about doing it again, but have not been able to go through with it.

How many times did you have to go? I'm considering this now just so I don't have to scare myself when looking in the rear view mirror in the car and realizing I need to wax

Re: Upper lip hair
I use one of those battery powered hair trimmers (it's the size of a sharpie) from bed bath & beyond. It takes about 10 seconds & the hair is gone, no pain at all. I do it about every 6 weeks...love it!

I've been getting laser since 2009. I now go every 6 months ? I dont really need to go anymore but that rear view car mirror is the devil lol
It helps with acne, too. My face feels amazing afterwards

I have used Surgi for close to 15 years. At this point, it has actually killed most of the hair.

Can you post a link to what you're talking about? Are they expensive?

Re: Upper lip hair
I agree with laser. I went for 6 sessions for upper lip and chin and it was wonderful. Before laser I used to wax it, but thought laser was a better solution. I need to go for a retouch, though. In the meantime, with the few a get, I use a hair trimmer that a PP mentioned.
This is the one I have: https://www.amazon.com/Finishing-Touch-Lumina-Lighted-Pivoting/dp/B000FRVA8O/ref=sr_1_19_s_it?s=beauty&ie=UTF8&qid=1490150455&sr=1-19&keywords=hair%2Btrimmer%2Bwomen&th=1

Re: Upper lip hair
But aren't those battery powered trimmers kind of like shaving? So don't you get stubble growing back the next day?

I've never had stubble...it grows back soft very slowly.

I need to start laser...
That rear view car mirror is how I see how the hairs that I can not see after waxing that need to be tweezed out.. Hair growth sucks

Is laser painful?
It is, but because it is a small area, it very is fast. I also did underarms, deep bikini and legs. Legs were the worst because it took forever, so comparing, upper lip was like nothing.

For me it is not. It's a flashing light that is somewhat hot but it moves so fast that you barely have time to feel it. There are a few seconds of quick 'zings' but they last a split second.
