The only tickets I can find online on their website is the total access tickets for $37 for adults. Are there general access tickets to purchase instead for cheaper? Thanks!

They do sell general admission tickets but you have to buy them at the gate. They don't sell them online.

You have to pay for parking too and any attractions you might want to do. It's kind of expensive.

Very expensive! As I remember the GA ticket doesn't get you very far so you pretty much *have to* buy the all
Access ticket. Plus the parking, which was about $20 o want to say.

I see on their website they have a code for 10% off all access tickets when you enter your email address.

It is expensive and wednesdays are free but it's usually much more crowded that day. Honestly, I would just get the zoo membership. After you pay for parking, admission, and extras (monorail, Congo section, etc) it makes more sense to get the membership bc it will pay for itself if you use it twice plus you also get access to the other zoos and ny aquarium! Def worth it!

Just FYI, I was reading that in the near future they will no longer be including the aquarium unless you are a legacy member. Annoying since we've never gone bc I always heard most was under renovation. Note idk if I'll be able to access it if we let our membership lapse.

I usually buy mid summer so I get two years out of the membership which is so worth it.

This is the only day we go. Never had a problem with crowds as we go when school is still in session.

We go when it opens at 10 and leave by 3:30 before traffic gets crazy. Maybe you will run into school trip kids but its a hell of alot better crowds than the weekends which we wouldn't go ever on a saturday or sunday. We pack a lunch and the only thing we pay for is parking.

Thanks for all the info! I agree after looking at what you get for the regular admission plus parking it is well worth it to get the pass as a family of 4!

They're also getting rid of parking. So if you don't have a membership now or let your membership lapse there will be no parking and no NY Aquarium.

ETA: I believe this is all as of April 1st.

Uggh, I didn't even realize about the parking. I bought in early April, my membership had lapsed but I was able to buy the family premium membership which is the same as it had always been thankfully. Eventually I guess it will switch to a legacy membership and you can't let it lapse or you lose some stuff.

You can still get parking (I was looking on their website recently). It's $30 more. I need to renew - they gave me the option to renew and get the parking and the aquarium at the same rate as without for new members but, I misplaced my paper (my membership lapsed awhile ago).

Yeah. We just renewed our legacy pass. I wasn't giving up my benefits since two visits pay for themselves. We went and renewed yesterday.

Wow, I bought the premium membership on 4/11 and it included the aquarium and parking. To buy the equivalent membership today would be $105 more expensive.

Us too! I definitely lucked out bc I usually buy later in the summer. I really hope the aquarium is fully open this year bc we'll visit and then ditch that add on in the future.

It's not. It's scheduled for 2018 which pissed me off because they should have increased the prices next year not this year. The additions at the Bronx zoo aren't even done yet and won't be for awhile. I think it's grimy the way they did it but we go all the time so I couldn't justify not renewing the legacy pass.

Yes. You can choose one name and leave the other two as guests.

The adventure trek is scheduled to be open in June delayed from the original open dat of Memorial Day weekend. The rate increase was $5 for current members renewing their memeberships- they also give members discounted rates on camps and education programs, food and gift shop purchases- totally worth it.

For us it was a lot more than $5. We always got a $20-$30 off coupon and this year there was an increase and no coupon.
