Braxton Hicks
Hi ladies,
Can anyone weigh in? I've been having Braxton Hicks contractions off and on since 17 weeks. I'm 21 weeks now and today they are out of control. I've been having them constantly since i got to work this morning and I'm starting to get worried.
I feel like I should call my doctor but I already went in once for this and my cervix was high and completely closed so she said not to worry.
What would you do?

Can you find a place to lay down for a little bit? I would definitely try to get off your feet and drink a ton of water and see if that stops them. If not I would definitely call.

Good luck. I've been having them too. Yes, drink a lot of water. I went to L&D at around 30 weeks my first pregnancy and they had to give me two bags of IV fluid. I still am very bad about keeping hydrated. My doctor is like... drink, drink, drink, and when you think you drank enough, drink more.

Re: Braxton Hicks
Drink a lot of water, go to the bathroom, change positions. If they don't stop, call your doctor for peace of mind. I started noticing them by 20 weeks this time around. I don't remember having them this early or frequently with my other pregnancies. As long as they subside and aren't painful, you're probably okay, but it never hurts to call your doctor.

Yes - I went to get checked and my cervix is still high and closed thank god. My doctor thinks it's dehydration and wants me to drink more water. Fun fact, i can't drink ANY water at the moment because at 21 weeks I'm still getting sick every day. She finally prescribed me Zofran. Going to start taking it this weekend.
