Anyone use grocery delivery on a consistent basis?
I usually hit shoprite but with kids, it is 2 hours from start to finish (driving there, shopping, coming home and putting it all away). On the weekends, I just don't always have the chance and my chances during the week of going are even less. I was thinking I should start doing Peapod weekly. Worth it?

Re: Anyone use grocery delivery on a consistent basis?
I use fresh direct regularly for staples like milk, eggs, juice, cheese sticks, waffles, frozen veggies, cereal, snacks, etc. I have it delivered between 5-6am and they leave it at my front door. I'm up by 6 and it's all put away before the kids wake up. I have very little time for shopping so it works perfect. I stop by the supermarket quickly for any meats produce as I need it.

I have for about a year now. I have everything delivered, and maybe once a month I'll run to whole foods or trader joes for stuff peapod doesn't carry. I'll never go back lol

I do peapod pickup. It's an extra $2 and I pick up a day and time to pickup my groceries. I love it.. When I have the time, I like to go to Trader Joe's, though.

I do peapod usually once a week, I also go to the local vegtable store bc the produce prices are so much better. Peapod is SO worth it, I think I could get better deals at Shoprite but weekends are always packed there and during the week w two young kids is totally annoying. Love peapod.

Anyone use grocery delivery on a consistent basis?
We have peapod delivered every week. I get milk, butter, yogurt, snacks for the kids, frozen produce, cheese, orange juice, cereal, oatmeal, canned tomatoes, pasta. I go to Fairway for my meat, eggs, & fresh produce- but it's much quicker just getting those items than going in for a full shop. I usually go early Sunday mornings with just my 6 yr old, while DH stays home with the younger kids. Once a month or so I will go to Trader Joe's & Stew Leonards just to get some of their specialty items and to try different things. We love peapod. It saves me so much time and stress with grocery shopping. Toilet paper, paper towels, soap, paper plates, etc., I get at Costco.

I love King Kullen! They are consistent and they shop the physical store for you (unlike other services who use a warehouse) and the representative will call you if they're out of something. Also, if you know that something is in the store but not available on their website, you can just add it to the order in the notes. It is totally customizable, and they are so friendly and accommodating with coupons etc. definitely recommend them!!!

Re: Anyone use grocery delivery on a consistent basis?
I absolutely love Amazon Fresh. I have ordered meats and cold cuts too. Anytime something came in damaged or if it came late, they have immediately credited off the item, redelivered depending on the item. once they were an hour late and I had sent an email inquiring about delivery and they had credited off my entire order. the ordering process is so easy, you can also use dash to make orders...I just walk around scanning whatever I need in my own house. LOVE everything about it! Prices are great and the few one offs I have had, they have been above and beyond accommodating.

I actually use shop rite from home and love it. I do pick up service though because that's more convenient for me in that I'm not committed to a time.

Anyone use grocery delivery on a consistent basis?
Yes, we get fresh direct delivered weekly
We buy the unlimited delivery pass and it's much cheaper than paying for delivery each time

Re: Anyone use grocery delivery on a consistent basis?
We used to do Peapod regularly, and now, I use it for emergencies only.
I know other people have had positive experiences, but Peapod has been a complete disaster for us. They are frequently late, and they are often out of extremely basic items (ground turkey, milk). I have the account set to send a replacement if the brand I ordered isn't available, but they rarely do that. I once had a delivery scheduled from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. They didn't show up until 11:30 p.m., and after 10, I couldn't get in touch with anyone from Peapod to find out where they were because customer service was closed for the night.
We've been delivered bags of filled with dry ice, so I reached my hand in to pull out groceries and grabbed that.
I don't know what the issue is, but the service for us has been a mess.
Yes, when I've complained, the delivery charge has been removed/I've received a discount next time, but it isn't worth it to me.
