Guesstimate at 36 weeks. They said she'll be over 8lbs at birth. We shall see.

My guesstimate yesterday at 36 weeks was 7lb 15oz LOL. They said he might be about 9.5lbs at birth. My first DS was 6lb 14 oz at birth so this makes me laugh and wonder.....

I think I'd almost rather not know! They can be off so much in either direction!

With my dd they told me she was going to be like 5lbs full term and she was 7.2 so I don't have much faith in their estimates.

No. I'm sure she will be average. She feels bigger then her sister did but not too much.

4 days before DD was born, they told me dd was 8lb 14oz and wanted to schedule an induction bc of her size. I held off, she came out on her own and was only 8lb 5oz

I don't know why they give those estimates because they are always completely off. I think they use it as a way to bully people into inductions or C-sections

Agree. Since this is the 2nd time around I have declined all checks like cervical checks and I said I'm not discussing any intervention. My dr hasn't but I keep hearing about many offices offering csections or inductions at 39 weeks. No thank you. No intervention unless something is wrong.
