Summer mamas: coming home outfits?
If you're due this summer, show me your coming home outfits. I'm team green, so will either go gender neutral. Or, buy one of each.

I got this in newborn. I have a growth u/s next week, but I'm assuming based on the length of my other 2 kids, that this baby will also fit into newborn for a while. outfit

Summer mamas: coming home outfits?
I am due mid-September, and decided on long sleeves... I ordered from an etsy shop a pale pink and ivory striped cotton one piece with a matching headband and cap. I like classic outfits for coming home for some reason.

Re: Summer mamas: coming home outfits?
Thanks for replies! For some reason, I'm so confused about how to dress baby for mid-to-late August. My other two were January babies. I know hospital will be cool with AC. I'll be bringing baby home to a house that will have some window units, but not central air (we're moving at the end of this month and won't have CAC done in time). You still think lightweight cotton long sleeves and pants?

I had a late August baby and brought him home in long sleeves. We had the ac on in the car and at home. They are used to being so warm inside so I didn't want him to feel cold.

We have central A/C and the car and hospital have A/C so I think long sleeves are probably fine. You can always put on a short sleeve onesie and add a lightweight blanket on top. I had a winter baby and a July baby and dressed them pretty similarly with the winter one having an extra layer and a blanket. Supposedly they should be dressed in 1 extra layer because of difficulty maintaining body temperature.
I remember when I was discharged with DS2 that it was pretty hot out, but we weren't outside for long. I was able to reuse most of the newborn stuff I had received from my December baby especially when we stayed inside because the house was cool. I'm due right around the same time as you and will probably bring long sleeve stuff to the hospital.
