Summer coming home outfit
I want to start looking for a coming home outfit, but I'm due in July. I don't want to overheat LO, but the hospital, car and house will all be air conditioned so I really am at a loss for what kind of outfit to look for. Any suggestions?

Summer coming home outfit
DD was born in the middle of June in a heatwave and we brought her home in a long sleeve shirt and footed pants. And I think she wore a hat.

DD was born June 25th. I brought her home in a carters layette with long sleeves, long pants, and a hat. She was only outside for a 1/2 a second between hospital and car and car and house which were all air conditioned.

Same here for my DS July 28th baby...this little is also due at the end of July and he'll be covered head to toe in a light weight outfit.

Re: Summer coming home outfit
I think you should definitely do long sleeves even if its summer. Newborns are trying to adjust to their out of the womb temperature. Its much warmer in there!! keep your LO cozy and warm

Re: Summer coming home outfit
I live in LA, and I am due at the end of August. It is going to be 115 outside
I am in the process of picking out a boy outfit but here is my girl outfit, and I am going to get a light sweater to go over it, and i will have a light blanket as well for the car.

Tiny tot was born July 31st. It was super hot when we left the hospital. She's my fist. I wanted her to look cute.

Re: Summer coming home outfit
I would def have the baby be all covered up with something light. Like a light sleep and play or something of the sort. Long sleeves, pants, socks. I wouldn't leave much of them exposed, they can't regulate temps yet. I'm due at the end of August and this is my plan. We have CAC and I don't want the baby to be cold. It's not like I'll have him outside in hot summer temps anyway.
